Well, I ended up asking my Bioelectric Engineering professor to count my final double, giving me a shot at an "A." He said that if I score a high "A" on the final (95%+), then he'll give me an "A" in the class.
I was half-hoping he'd say no, so I could just take the "B." I think God wants me to strive for excellence, though. Apparently, my professor does, too!
Do I?
Well, I don't "feel" like it sometimes, but in my heart & my head, I do!
On another note, something happened: I am no longer the Case Fencing Club president. Fencing here has been a big commitment for me. I regret not doing a better job; I almost wanted to have leadership longer. I do want to see our club become great - I want to make it great!
I had my chance, though. I was president for two years, and VP the year before that.
The new leadership is looking good. We've got an older guy as president, and a score of Freshmen stepping up.
In particular, there's a new guy who's a great fencer and really intense about improving the club.
The elections went well, too. The positions were fairly contested, and we had a decent turnout - about 13.
Also, senior speeches were last night. They went really long. In general, I wasn't impressed. There just wasn't much in the way of content, for most of them. The overuse of alcohol probably contributed to this. You'd think that might increase the humor, but the guys in this fraternity are funniest when they're thinking clearly. The hilarity was... moderate.
